fire, loss and pain
As the fires blaze in Victoria, people all over the world say prayers for those dealing with the crisis. No one wants to know someone who has been affected, but somehow we all do. The faces of the victims seemed to be burned into our brain. We all mourn their loss.
It is heart wrenching to hear tales of small children dying in these fires. Children should be invincible, they shouldn't get the short straw in life. Teachers and parents are struggling with how and what to tell the surviving children. Could you look into a child's eyes and tell them they will never see their best friend again?
All of Australia feels the pain of these losses and the pain will not cease when the fires go out.
