what happened?

i read an artcle detailing how Tom Cruis' baby isn't likely to be any less photographed now that her picture has been released to the media. it got me thinking...why do we (the public) want pictures of our movie star' children?

Why was there almost no news coverage of the children of Audry Hepburn, Val Kilmer, or Madonna?

Could it be that we have gone past the mere desire to be entertained and now fancy ourselves to be part of the star's own family?

Why can't we be satified with our own lives and our own family's children? why is there a need to feed off the celebrities' images?
