Don't laugh, but when i was younger i was a HUGE Star Trek fan. i loved the shallow plot lines and all that cheesy sci-fi stuff. Well, it now looks like some of that cheesy sci-fi stuff is becoming reality!
Duke University has created something that bends microwaves around an object. This means that (if we could see in microwave frequency) the object would seemingly disappear, just like the cloaking divice the Romulans used!
How cool is that! Next week they'll figure out how to make a Scotty to beam you up!
